What is Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy?
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy (PRYT) is a unique trauma-sensitive approach to mental and physical healing. More than a physical practice to relieve pain and discomfort in the body, PRYT is a means by which you can delve deeply into what is happening in the present moment - in your body, your mind, and your emotions - and in doing so open up pathways to transformation. PRYT is a deeply healing experience that brings your whole self into healing in this Threefold way.
There are three key elements to a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Session:
Guided experiences in yoga postures serve as a vehicle for inner noticing. You will notice sensations in your body that you may not have noticed before.
Supported meditation and pranayama (breath work) deepen your experience, calming your nervous system so that you can safely open up to allowing new insights to emerge. When your nervous system is regulated, the veil of anxiety, worry, and fear is lifted and you can see things more clearly.
Carefully cultivated dialogue helps you to integrate your experiences and to make meaningful connections that you can apply to your life. my careful and targeted reflections and questions help you move forward from awareness to action.
